Hi everyone, have been having problems with my back for a while and was advised last Friday by the rheummy nurse to speak to my gp about getting physio and hopefully some hydrotherapy. Made the appointment for the 22nd march. Woke up Saturday morning with the worst pain in my back, could hardly walk! Spent all weekend doped up with co-codamol and got in to see my gp on an emergency appt on Monday (8th) he examined me and said it was a bad flare and looked as though the ra may have gone into my back which does happen but is quite rare. He gave me some anti inflams and liquid morphine (sorry am so spaced at the moment I cant think of the actual names!) Have spent the last two days in bed in so much pain. Its bearable today but am doing as he told me REST!! He signed me off for a fortnight and my husband has taken this week off to be my nurse!
I think perhaps next week given all the drugs im taking I'll be in rehab!!!
Love to you all
Heatherxxxx

Hi heather so sorry that you have had a RA flare- they are horrid but you are on the right treatment and hopefully it will settle down. Would be interested to hear what the physio has to say- I am seeing one about my back soon!
So pleased hubby was able to help this wk. Rest up lovely- gentle rotation exercises only.

Sorr to hear about the flare Heather but am glad you are taking the advice and resting. Remember not to rush back into doing stuff if you start to feel better. Take care.

Hi ladies many thanks for the replies. Feeling much better today and keep telling myself not to do things! My son Jacks Mothers day present to me was for him to clean thehouse for me today! Its been driving me mad!!!! They all help a lot, but with all their things in their lives, Katies GCSE's looming and Kevs work being very demanding its hard. Anyway, Im going to make the most of my present (he'll regret this I know!!)
Anyway, lovely sunny day here, just wish I could do some gardening!!
